  1. Targeting Jewish Students and Staff:
    Incidents that directly target Jewish students on campus or other Jewish members of the campus community for harmful or hateful action based on their Jewishness or perceived support for Israel.

  2. Antisemitic Expression:
    Language, imagery or behavior deemed antisemitic by the U.S. State Department definition of antisemitism, or wholly consistent with that definition.

  • Kudos to UIUC Chancellor Jones for his message to the community – “….anti-Semitic attacks hidden under the guise of anti-Zionist rhetoric are all too common.”
  • Kudos to the Associated Students of Madison for unanimously passing a resolution against antisemitism that notes, “anti-Semitic incidents tend to occur when anti-Israel legislation are introduced in student government or in a student body.”

A white swastika was spray-painted on the concrete near the East Remote Lot.

bullet img December 8, 2017 – STANFORD UNIVERSITY
Stanford SJP and Stanford JVP draped a large banner on Pigott Hall that said “HANDS OFF JERUSALEM” and released an announcement claiming that as Stanford students they have a “responsibility to acknowledge the role of the U.S. in the military occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” and declared that “Jerusalem is and always will be Palestinian.”

 SJP held the event “Stand for Peace, Stand for Palestine.” An attendee at the rally held a sign saying “End Israeli Apartheid,” and chants of “No occupation, no apartheid,” and “stop apartheid” were shouted as well.

 An op-ed in the school paper by an SJP member, entitled “Stop justifying apartheid with faith,” demonized and delegitimized Israel with false accusations of “ethnic cleansing of Palestinians” and “apartheid.”
