Challenges to California State Assembly Resolution Condemning Campus Antisemitism (HR 35)
In August 2012, the California State Assembly unanimously approved HR 35, a resolution condemning antisemitism on California campuses and offering substantive recommendations for combating it. Soon after its approval, HR-35 was challenged by anti-Israel groups, and the University of California refused to support the resolution. AMCHA responded to these challenges to HR 35:
- Anti-Israel group condemns HR-35 and demands that state legislators rescind the resolution.
- University of California refuses to support HR-35.
