Kudos To…

thumbs-up

  • Kudos to UIUC Chancellor Jones for his message to the community – “….anti-Semitic attacks hidden under the guise of anti-Zionist rhetoric are all too common.”
  • Kudos to the Associated Students of Madison for unanimously passing a resolution against antisemitism that notes, “anti-Semitic incidents tend to occur when anti-Israel legislation are introduced in student government or in a student body.”

Dozens of white supremacist, antisemitic and neo-Nazi posters and stickers of the Patriot Front were scattered around campus, including swastika stickers found on telephone poles and street signs along N Commercial Ave. One flier showed the image of a Nazi-style caricature of a “Jew” with a hooked nose looking sinister. Another of the fliers directed viewers to the website “bloodandsoil.org.” The phrase “Blood and Soil” originated with the Nazi party and was a symbol for antisemitism.

bullet img December 11, 2017 – TUFTS UNIVERSITY
The same student who wrote an op-ed in November wrote another op-ed in the Tufts Daily. This op-ed delegitimized and demonized Israel, stating, “Israel is a European colonial settlement established by the British government and now sustained by imperialism and neo-colonial powers… The supporters of the Zionist movement around the world have no legal or historic right to immigrate, confiscate and claim lands that belong to the only indigenous people of Palestine…The concept of community settlement is just one example of the same kind of segregation and apartheid that existed in South Africa…In occupied Palestine, even water is used as a tool of domination…Fletcher students know now better than any time in the past, from an Israel supporter, that claims of impartiality and balance in these programs are state of denial or hallucination and that the government of Israel is deliberately targeting them for the service of its well-documented agenda of occupation and domination.”
